I recently started using hostgator, and found these coupons:

HostgatorPros
1centhosting
G36FJ23ASF
HG3YD3A4CZ
HGBIGDISCOUNT

I know the coupon '1centhosting' works good, but I'm sure the others do as well.

Best wishes.

I am having what I think is a similar issue. When I do Joomla Installs on the root directory of 1and1 I have NO problems with Google bots finding my pages. When I started installing them in subfolders and directing the domains to that folder google cannot find those pages. Is this the fix for this? Does this fix work with the latest Joomla 1.5.x?

########## Begin 3rd Party or Core SEF Section
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^(/vietnam/component/option,com) [NC,OR] ##optional - see notes##
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} (/|\.htm|\.php|\.html|/[^.]*)$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule (.*) index.php
########## End 3rd Party or Core SEF Section

to my .hta but it worked.

you are amazing, thank you! do you know how many people are frustrated over this and 1and1 more specifically? Even 1and1 doesn't quite know how to fix this.

Thanks again!

@John,
The .htaccess file is Apache-only so no, you can't use this for IIS or other webservers. I just created the /sites folder to keep the clutter to a minimal in my host space. You don't have to, but it would be easier to manage different sites in the long run.
